The Merge
In addition to providing stable, low-cost, and optimized transactions, the Gnosis Beacon Chain (GBC) infrastructure serves as a sandbox to support important Ethereum updates, including EIP implementations. Gnosis Chain will merge with the GBC exactly like Ethereum will merge with the Ethereum Beacon Chain.
Ethereum devs have penciled in September 19th for the merge. As such, Gnosis Chain has a target merge date within the same timeframe. Check out the latest tweet from @dapplion, merge coordinator for Gnosis Chain, to learn about critical details and a call to action for validators below👇

GIP-61: Shall GnosisDAO fund BootNode as a Core Contributor Team?
This proposal seeks $580,000 in stablecoins and 580 GNO (currently valued at approximately $93,000; exclusively for running GBC validators for at least 12 months).
BootNode proposes to contribute engineering and development services to the Gnosis DAO ecosystem by building a hands-on autonomous team with relevant experience in multiple disciplines that will focus on growing the GC ecosystem adoption. The term is for a 6-month engagement.
GIP-60: Should Gnosis pilot a DAOcast?
This proposal seeks $5,200 in funds to pilot a weekly live broadcast to communicate the latest developments in the Gnosis DAO ecosystem and provide a new way to grow the community through education and fun. The DAOcast Format is as follows:
Episode length: ~1 hour
Frequency: Bi-weekly
Pilot Duration: 16 weeks (8 total episodes)

🏘 DAO of the Week: Bright ID
Bright ID started as a response to a crash, caused by sybil attack. It’s a tool that can help with privacy, be used for proof of humanity, prevent spam attacks and is a kind of social glove. It’s related to soul bound tokens and allows you to validate yourself, without exposing your data.
Using several Gnosis safes, the Bright DAO governs the Bright ID product. Currently the DAO has 1400 members with 43 proposals on 1hive.

Azuro’s Bet of the Week on bookmaker.XYZ
This week was nearly a 2x on the Community Shield Final, between Liverpool & Manchester City. The player placed $88 on a Double Chance and received a payout of $177.6! Not a bad return at all.
Plus, one player missed a huge opportunity for a big return on a DFB Pokal - Cup round match between Greuther Furth & Stuttgarter Kickers. The player placed a $1 bet at huge odds of 12.57 only for it to come in with a payout of $12.6. If only they were brave enough to place $1,000 on it. Maybe next time.
