What a great week in Dubai! Gnosis Chain has featured prominently in EthDubai related events; we hosted a special brunch with some of our ecosystem partners and community, sponsored a joint workshop with our friends from Tenderly, and had a chance to meet with a ton of promising projects interested in deploying to GC.
We’ve really enjoyed connecting with the developers here, especially new devs bringing fresh ideas and interesting perspectives. With a low barrier to entry (low costs + fast blocks) and an enthusiastic and generous developer-centric community, Gnosis Chain offers an ideal environment for coders transitioning to web3 and new validators interested in validating on the consensus layer.
At the Tenderly workshop Bogdan Habic guided devs through a coding exercise where they had a chance to build a game, deploy it on Gnosis Chain, verify and explore transactions on Blockscout, and use Tenderly tooling to debug, monitor, and automate functionality. Attendees left feeling energized and ready to buidl!
💧 Liquid Staking with Stakewise
Just in time to quench our thirst in the Dubai heat, StakeWise announced liquid staking on the Gnosis Beacon Chain! This new option opens up the world of staking to an entirely new group of supporters. GNO holders who do not want to / do not have the resources to run a node can now stake and participate in Gnosis Chain security while receiving staking rewards.
To get started, simply go to https://app.stakewise.io/, connect your wallet to the Gnosis Chain, and add any amount of GNO you have on the GC to start staking.
To stake, you need GNO on the Gnosis Chain. Move GNO from Ethereum to GC using the Omnibridge, or trade other tokens for GNO on a variety of DEXs on the GC. For example:
Staking APR currently stands at 17.5%. This will fluctuate over time depending on the number of stakers, but far eclipses the current Ethereum Beacon Chain APR of 3.77 % on StakeWise.

GIP-33: Should Gnosis DAO send vested COW tokens to daughter Safe for treasury management
Gnosis DAO was allocated 50M COW tokens out of which 1.5M tokens have already been vested. Those funds are proposed to be sent to the daughter Safe where it can be used by Karpatkey DAO for market activities that will support COW liquidity and provide Gnosis DAO’s treasury with additional yield over the capital.
GIP-32: Reimburse expenditures to the Gnosis Chain Core Development Unit (formerly xDai Chain team)
GIP-32 requests reimbursement of infrastructure and marketing-related expenditures to the Gnosis Chain Core Development Unit (formerly xDai Chain team) for the period spanning the token merge (GIP-16 implementation) through March 1st, 2022.

Should Gnosis Chain perform a Hardfork to upgrade the token contract vulnerable to the reentrancy attack? On 15th March 2022 tokens bridged with the OmniBridge were used in attacks on the Agave and Hundred Finance protocols on the Gnosis Chain.

GIP-27: Gnosis Guild Treasury Allocation to Gnosis Ltd
The proposal would fund Gnosis Ltd. to support the Gnosis Guild team’s operations and startup costs for one year. The Gnosis Guild Treasury Allocation would foster needs-driven development of the Zodiac DAO tools at a total of USD ~$2.9 Million equivalent, paid in 56% GNO for a contributor incentivization plan, administered by Gnosis Guild with a two-year cliff followed by a one-year vesting period.
Project Updates
Azuro is coming soon to Gnosis Chain! Learn more about the Azuro decentralized betting platform, why they chose the GC for deployment, and checkout their step-by-step guide to try it out on the testnet prior to Gnosis Chain mainnet launch.
Via Protocol now supports the GC. Via aims to improve the cross-chain experience by aggregating routes for moving tokens between networks. Over 14 networks are currently supported at router.via.exchange.

OpenOcean launched the upgraded OpenOcean DEX API 3.0. The API provides price quotes, token swaps, transfers, and trading records tracking across 16 public chains including Gnosis Chain.
Swapr continues to grow with increased TVL and volume. Their unique 🥕carrot campaign program provides additional incentives for liquidity providers, and they are supporting the COW token from the recent Cow Protocol launch.
XP Network is a multichain NFT bridge supporting Gnosis Chain and many other networks. v 2.0 includes off-chain multisig collection for bridge validators, ERC-1155 standard integration and more. Try it out here.
