HF Success
Node operators, validators, and clients & projects supporting the GC came together for a seamless chain update on 20 April, block #21,735,000 🎉. It’s an important upgrade to protect against further re-entrancy attacks related to bridged-token implementations. Projects and users can feel rock 🪨 solid with their applications, and the DeFi ecosystem is primed for growth now that the upgrade is complete.
🌵Agave protocol has already re-deployed and live on the GC with enhanced security in place! They drafted a fair and well-received reimbursement proposal related to the exploit, and the community voted to enact it. Check their Discord for details relevant to the reimbursement plan.
Additional Security
In addition to the hard fork, we’ve also updated bridge limits for several assets to prevent a mass liquidation event by an attacker should another exploit occur. The team continues to look into ways to prevent future incidents and welcomes any community feedback and ideas in the Gnosis forum.

Hello Wise Owls! This week a number of GIPs concluded their Snapshot votes with quorum reached. The Gnosis community voted to reimburse the Agave community after the recent exploit and vested COW tokens will be used to increase its liquidity with GIP-33. Please visit the forum for a full update.

Project Updates
Ankr announced a public RPC to help serve increasing traffic and requests on the GC.
QiDAO, the governance DAO for Mai Finance, voting to Add GNO as Collateral for the MAI stablecoin.
Carrot.eth from dxDAO provides rewards when certain KPIs are met. It is active for LPs on Swapr, and this week carrot campaigns came to life in Amsterdam.
With the XP.Network NFT bridge users can move NFTs between GC and a host of other networks.
Ambire wallet added GC native support, adding their name to the list of 20+ wallets supporting GC out of the 📦.
Augmented Finance lending and borrowing is live on GC, joining other recent Money Market additions Agave and RealT real-estate market.
A Collaborative Approach
As we see from the many projects working together on the Gnosis Chain (https://gnosischain.world for a big-picture view), the spirit of collaboration on GC is alive and well. This also holds true for the broader web3 community; as new networks find their footing and new projects launch, a rising tide 🌊 is lifting all boats⛵️ across the multi-chain ocean.
This collaborative spirit is on full display at recent conferences, where ideas are buzzing in a frenetic state of iteration and refinement. Themes emerge, builders build, and ideas in the “ether” quickly transform into code on the chain. An open-source mindset is the key ingredient 👨🏻🍳 as projects fork, improve, repeat in a continual cycle of innovation.
We look forward to next month at ActivateMiami🌴. Many networks will come together to share ideas and methods to securely interoperate with one another, working towards a decentralized, equitable future for all.
