GIP-55: Should GnosisDAO fund Dark Forest DAO for Arena game mode on Gnosis Optimism? (Passed on July 21, 2022 – 99.83% FOR)
Dark Forest DAO will receive $159,000 in funds from GnosisDAO for Phase 2 of dfdao’s work, which went unpaid due to the xDAI / Gnosis merger.
Dark Forest DAO (dfdao) is a team of developers and players that have been building on top of Dark Forest, which is an open-source, web3 game.
GIP-58: Karpatkey DAO Service Extension (Passed on July 20, 2022 – 94.86% FOR)
Karpatkey will receive the following compensation structure:
Management fee
Karpatkey will receive a yearly management fee (in monthly installments) of 1% of the AUM to be charged to finance the services detailed in this proposal. This fee will be paid in stablecoins.
Performance fee
We will charge 20% of the yield obtained as a performance fee each month. This fee will be paid in ETH or stETH.
Past Work
$645k would be charged for the Gnosis Chain related work (additional to GIP-20 9) which was carried out during 2022.
This proposal focuses on the Gnosis Chain and treasury development, seeking to reduce risk exposure, develop anti-liquidation bots to increase capital efficiency, update our security protocol, run security audits, further improve our reporting, execute and manage a sustainable rewards plan for new and existing protocols in the GC, and scout attractive new ones to make them part of the GC.
GIP-57: Should Gnosis DAO support research of a zkSNARK-enabled light client and bridge? (Passed on Jul 13, 2022 – 99.89% FOR)
0xPARC will receive $600,000.00 in funds from GnosisDAO. $300,000.00 will go to the team and $300k will go to the broader ZK community and public goods (distribution determined by core team). Payments will be made in phases.
The goal of this proposal is to build prototypes of essential infrastructure for a potential SNARK-enabled bridge for Gnosis to Eth2 bridging.
GIP-54: Should GnosisDAO support hosting and feature updates for Blockscout Explorer? (Passed on July 10, 2022 – 100% FOR)
Blockscout will receive $150,000.00 in funds from GnosisDAO. The amount is paid up front for the year and can be renewed annually. The breakdown is as follows:
Gnosis Chain: $100,000 annually ($8,333 per month).
Optimism on Gnosis Chain: $50,000 annually ($4,166 per month).
Total cost: $150,000.00
The goal of this proposal is to provide continued hosting and maintenance for both the Gnosis Chain and Optimism on Gnosis Chain Blockscout instances.

GIP-59: Should GnosisDAO fund Circles UBI R&D work?
This proposal would fund the Circles Coop eG and the Bitsposessed developer collective to support the CirclesUBI team’s R&D costs for one and a half years and expand operations. The following Circles UBI proposal would foster the mass adoption of key Gnosis technologies like the Gnosis Safe via the establishment of UBI Open Pilots as well as fostering internal collaboration between GnosisChain dapps through the development of a Circles Web of Trust (WoT) GnosisSafe native app and other tools at a total of USD - $3.571 Million, paid 45% in GNO and 55% in DAI, administered by the Circles Coop eG.

🏘 DAO of the Week: MetaPod
MetaPod is a hybrid accelerator and DAO incubator. MetaPod streamlines resources to projects, helping teams onboard using DAOhaus governance on Gnosis Chain.
The first event was a DAO pitch contest at ETHDenver 2022. $20K was given in grants and the 6-week pilot program was put in place for project teams to receive funding, who are now holders of a non-voting stake in MetaPod DAO. Mentorship is focused on providing DAOs the tools they need to be successful.
