There are many exciting things happening related to the Gnosis Chain and as a member of a DAO it’s important to be informed and participate in the discourse and governance process.
If you haven’t checked in in a while, you’ve missed a lot! Token mergers, project spinoffs, integrations galore….here’s a few ways to quickly get back up to speed.
GnosisDAO Update
GnosisDAO is made up of all Gnosis holders. Participation is the lifeblood of a successful DAO, and a variety of opinions and experience are welcome and encouraged. You don’t need to be a developer or technical-first to post, comment, and vote. It’s important to hear from diverse points of view within the community. In 2020, Gnosis signaled its commitment to decentralize the technical and governance layers of its products by announcing the GnosisDAO. Today, the treasury has effective control of over 150K ETH and 8 Million GNO tokens. The transition of Gnosis from a traditional for-profit organization to a DAO means that anyone can participate in decision-making by joining the Gnosis forum.
To learn more about the GnosisDAO governance process, read this forum post on the topic. Participation is highly encouraged and proposals can be of a technical and/or social nature.
Recent updates:
GIP-13, a proposal to spin out the Cow Protocol Team and launch a COW Token, passed quorum on Snapshot. CowDAO officially launched and the first CIP was recently submitted.
GIP-27: Gnosis Guild Treasury Allocation to Gnosis Ltd is up on the forum in Phase-2. The proposal would fund Gnosis Ltd. to support the Gnosis Guild team’s operations and startup costs for one year. The Gnosis Guild Treasury Allocation would foster needs-driven development of the Zodiac DAO tools.
GIP-28, a proposal to allow GNO holders to vote even if their GNO are invested/staked/locked in smart contracts on different protocols, is in Phase-2 on the forum.
Validators
We’ve surpassed 60K validators on the Gnosis Beacon Chain! We are currently onboarding new validators to further increase decentralization. If you’ve ever had the desire to run a beacon chain validator but haven’t found a spare 32 ETH in your pocket👖, you can become a validator on the Gnosis Beacon Chain validator for only 1 GNO!

Projects
Diverse and unique projects continue to explore, deploy, and thrive on the Gnosis Chain. Here are a few highlights from the week:
dark forest lobbies: Custom df rounds you can launch at any time without any special tools or technical skills! Lobbies let you play on your schedule with your own customizable rules, optional whitelists and so much more.
Mt Pelerin announced some exciting new features for their fiat on/off ramp including and easy widget to incorporate the crypto-fiat gateway in applications and no KYC for bank transfers below certain thresholds. Learn more here.
Punk Domains: Permissionless web3 domains are now available on the Gnosis Chain. Choose from different top-level domains (TLDs) such as .gnosis or .xdai on the GC and incorporate additional data with your domain (like an NFT profile pic, URL, twitter handle etc).
Azuro, a decentralized betting platform, announced plans for a Gnosis Chain integration in April. Gnosis Chain is the first production chain Azuro has slated for deployment. Their platform features many game-changing innovations including full transparency, instant payouts, NFT collectibles, yield farming opportunities and more. Checkout the testnet app.
Events
EthDenver 2022 is in the rear view and next we turn our sights to EthDubai. Gnosis Chain is an event sponsor and we’ll be participating in the conference and various workshops and events March 29-31. If you are there, please stop by our booth and say hello!
Our event calendar is filling up and we’re interested in unique opportunities to collaborate with GC-based projects via hackathons, conferences, meetups etc. If your project is organizing or participating in a unique event let us know!

There are also opportunities to contribute and receive compensation by submitting a Gnosis forum proposal. The community is especially interested in collaborating with DAOs and finding synergies to continue to grow Gnosis Chain as a destination🏡 for all things DAO.

Thank you for the excellent summary. I would just like to point out that GnosisDAO currently controls the 14th largest treasury among the DAOs listed on https://deepdao.io/organizations. This is even more than Decentraland! (although Decentraland has more active members, proposals and votes).
So yeah, let's all continue to engage with each other on the various Gnosis platforms, especially the GnosisDAO forums. With the exponential rise in subscribers, comes the opportunity for an exponential rise in contributions/discussions. Exciting times indeed!
