⑂ Network Upgrade
A hard fork (HF) is coming to the Gnosis Chain! The community has voiced their support for a HF to upgrade the Permittable Token contract functionality for bridged tokens. This update is designed to prevent future reentrancy attacks such as the ones suffered by Agave and Hundred Finance and their users on 15 March, 2022.

If you are a user of the Gnosis Chain, you don’t need to do anything and day-to-day functionality should not be impacted. However, if you are running a node with either OpenEthereum or Nethermind, you will need to upgrade to the new version.

Clients are ready and node runners can upgrade now. Please plan to upgrade as soon as you can before April 20 so we can have a smooth and successful HF!
Response to Impacted Protocols
Related to the upgrade are proposals submitted to the GnosisDAO forum by the Agave and Hundred Finance protocols impacted by the exploit. There has already been some interesting debate on both.

Staking & 💧Liquid Staking
Validators staking on the Gnosis Beacon Chain surpassed 70K this week!
Liquid staking with Stakewise is also taking off 🛫 . Over 18K validators are now a part of the liquid staking pool, up from 6K just last week!
Additional utility is being introduced for Stakewise stakers.
Curve sGNO/GNO pool is now available. Provide low-slippage liquidity to receive LP tokens you can stake for additional rewards.
mGNO is also available for direct staking with Stakewise, and can be deposited using the dashboard.
In addition to supporting many GC DeFi protocols, Debank now tracks both staked and reward GNO from StakeWise in their portfolio dashboard.
🏅Incentives
While staking is a great way to receive incentives for helping secure the chain, there are many other ways to receive incentives on the Gnosis Chain. It’s hard to keep up! We’ve created a simple page to start tracking incentive programs available on the chain including liquid staking, yield farming, money markets and more.

⛓ Multichain Integrations
Gnosis Chain continues to be an important destination for protocols deploying across multiple chains. This week, several new projects chose to add GC integrations.
FoxWallet, a user-friendly Web3.0 portal, added a Gnosis Chain integration.
RocketX Exchange aggregates both CEXs & DEXs to find competitive cross-chain rates. Gnosis Chain was added to their roster.
Augmented Finance is a DeFi liquidity protocol with cross-chain compatibility now supporting the Gnosis Chain.
🎮 Gaming on the GC
Blockchain gaming is a growing use case that gives players opportunities to add economic incentives, code-based augmentations and other interesting mechanics. Games continue to push boundaries on the Gnosis Chain. A few updates from the week:

RealT are pioneers in the ecosystem, and their latest offering is coming soon to Gnosis Chain! Their new RMM platform, based on Aave’s open-source protocol, will open to Beta next week. It will allow users to leverage Real Tokens, add them to liquidity pools, and participate fully in DeFi on GC. Coming soon https://rmm.realtoken.network
