Si, se puede!
“Si, se puede!” is a rallying cry that means, “Yes, we can!”. It’s important to remind ourselves that web3 is part of and connected to the world around us. Beyond all the conferences and Twitter threads, ultimately the implications of what we’re building will be measured by our ability to solve the coordination problems faced by society today. “Si, se puede!” is a nod to all the events happening in Bogota this week. “Yes, we can!” and must connect with the everyday realities of people living in the Global South so that we can approach our work with greater intention.
Gnosis will host a side event on the first evening of Devcon. We’ll feature a series of panel discussions with teams from the Gnosis ecosystem. More details below 👇👇👇
Merge Updates 🚧
Stay up to date on everything you need to know about the Gnosis Chain merge. Most significantly, Gnosis Chain’s consensus mechanism will shift from Proof-of-Authority to Proof-of-Stake for complete parity with Ethereum.
If you’re a token holder, your funds will remain as-is during the transition.
Node runners: You must run a consensus client before the merge alongside your existing execution client. Not doing so will cause your node to fork and not follow the right chain. More info below.

🏘 DAO of the Week: MIDAO
MIDAO helps DAOs incorporate in the Marshall Islands. MIDAO recognizes that DAOs need to be legal entities to open bank accounts, receive grants and address certain liability and intellectual property concerns.
The Marshall Islands has a long history of serving shipping companies, with ships coming and going. This uniquely equips them to serve DAOs which, in a way, are everywhere all at once. In 2021 MIDAO helped the Marshall Islands pass laws that are favorable to DAOs.
MIDAO and their partner organizations use Gnosis Safes.
