Houston, this is Chiado ~ we have landed.

The purpose of the Chiado testnet is to provide a sandbox for development ahead of deploying live on mainnet. In preparation for the merge, the Chiado testnet was created to provide a safe environment to walk through procedures and observe potential errors.

On Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 at precisely 03:47:21 PM UTC the Chiado testnet successfully merged. The impressive feat signaled confidence that the upcoming Gnosis Chain/Gnosis Beacon Chain merge should run as planned. Chiado will continue to be maintained as an important testnet for development on Gnosis Chain after the merge. Visit the Gnosis Chain Discord and join the #-merge-temp-channel to learn more.

🏘 DAO of the Week: Govrn

The best way to empower a DAO is to empower contributors. Govrn takes a fresh perspective on DAO tooling by focusing on the contributors.

Instead of the DAO owning contributions, using Govrn, DAO contributors not only own their contributions, but they can also track and record them.

With the user interface on Discord, an NFT points to the data on IPFS that is the contributor’s contributions. Some DAOs already using Govrn are Boys Club, MetaGammaDelta, Govrn education DAO and Raid Guild.

Launched on June 24, 2022, the Govern community uses a Gnosis safe for their treasury.
